Charlene grew up in South East London during the 90's and was part of the MTV music video generation, which she was strongly influenced by the 90s Club / Pop fashion and music scene during that time. Obsessed with music videos, this led Charlene discovering the Creators who dominated many iconic music video’s and magazine front covers such as Kevin Aucoin, Pat McGrath and Billy B (Brasfield) who’s work she intensively followed and fascinated by.

After studying at London College Of Fashion and Central Saint Martins, she went on to work for some of the most renowned Model and Photographic Agencies in London such as Premier Model Management, Select Model Management and Streeters. This gave Charlene an insight into the creative world of Make Up and enabled her to build strong relationships across the whole fashion industry.

Charlene then started to assist some of the worlds most iconic Make Up Artists in the industry, of whom she counts as mentors such as Val Garland, Diane Kendal, Peter Philips, Pat McGrath, Phyllis Cohen on high profile shoots and shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris, which has made a huge impact on her own Make Up career.

With a strong background in assisting, Charlene concentrated on building up her own portfolio and clientele within the Fashion and Music areas, to make her own mark within the industry. Her work has been featured in magazines such as Vogue, iD, Fantastic Man, Volt, Tank, Fault, IDOL, Never Undressed, The Ones 2 Watch. She has worked with Clients such as L'Oreal, Jimmy Choo, Max Factor, Olay, P&G, Jo Malone, Sony Music, X Factor, The Brit Awards and with Talent such as Geri Horner, Cheryl, Girls Aloud, Alexandra Burke, Pixie Lott, HAIM, Dizzee Rascal, McFly, Florence + The Machine and Taio Cruz.
